Do your students have dams on their properties at home? Are you lucky to have a water body on your school grounds?
Take your dam to the next level and turn them from dull to dynamic so they can fulfil multiple roles – as water storage, watering points, recreational assets AND habitat havens for fish, frogs and waterbirds with better water quality in return.
This is an achievable, practical, positive and rewarding project for students to explore at home with their family or at school with teachers and peers. It integrates their River Detectives learning to take practical action in a world where young people often feel disempowered.
Just imagine how much healthier a catchment would be if it was dotted with dynamic dams as biodiversity stepping-stones across the landscape!
Take a look at this invite to understand the broad focus of our chat, access links to some tuning in resources and gather your class’s questions to email in by Monday 29th April. (sorry for short time frame but David is a busy man and is available for an interview on May 1st)
To meet your diverse needs this session will NOT be live online but recorded. Recording will be taking place on Wednesday 1st May. The webinar available on the River Detectives website as a flexible option to view on demand when the time is right for your learning.
Get your questions in – your students will be delighted to hear their names mentioned!
