Hello to our River Detectives schools statewide !
We would love to have some two-way interaction with you via Billabong Banter – the blog component of our website. This will help us see what you’re all up to and build our River Detectives community by sharing good news across the state.
To kickstart this we’d love you to share a photo of your adopted waterway site – from the wide brown rivers to the bubbling brooks, from the spring fed creeks to school dams/wetlands.
We’ll be sharing these in a Statewide Online Summit we are planning to show the breadth and depth of the waterways we care for.
Please take a landscape photo of your site. If students have photo permission feel free to include them but if if not, people-free will be fine – or you could take a selfie of yourself there ?
Head to the Billabong Banter tab of the River Detectives website and open this post. At the bottom there’ll be an opportunity to upload a photo and post it (if you have taken the photo on your phone you may need to email it to yourself so you can complete this process on a laptop/desktop – it may not appear visually the same on a phone/tablet but this will be an interesting trial to see . . .)
Please also leave your school and waterway name.
We’d love your photos anytime between now and August 17. Happy snapping and fingers crossed the tech works 🙂
