We are really pleased that River Detectives and ResourceSmart Schools are working closely together this year. It makes total sense as participation in River Detectives can very easily help you tick off actions in the water, biodiversity and waste modules.
As a bonus, if you are a ResourceSmart school you are eligible for River Detectives-related school incursions to be delivered by RSS facilitators to get more ‘bang for your buck’.
Being a ResourceSmart school is easier than you may think, requiring only one interaction with the website per year to maintain registration (and RD will make this a shoe in)
If you’ve ever considered joining RSS, this is a great time to do so. To help you learn more, there’s a RSS teachers network meeting on 14th May 9:30-11:30 in the Bendigo Share and Repair Shed, with a special Enviro PD session from Ian McBurney.
It’s free and there’s $200 to help cover the costs of having a teacher attend.
