October means National Water Week and this year an innovative and highly accessible online program has been created, jam-packed with activities for students of all ages !
There’s the launch/poster competition winner announcement (also includes a great animation at the end to inspire students about the week’s program), online presentations, water-themed story times (because it’s also Book Week), an on-demand theatre show, experiments, mindfulness videos and a raft of printable resources. Many of the opportunities will be available outside of this week also so take a look at the program and keep it on file for future use when studying water . . .
Our River Detectives program contributed an activity matrix on this year’s theme ‘Reimagining Our Water Future’ with a compilation of activities from our suite of matrices. The activities hone in on how we can learn from the past and work smarter into the future to harness water resources and balance human/environmental needs.
We also contributed a virtual session on Environmental Water that can be watched at any time in conjunction with other e-water videos on the River Detectives website.
