NAIDOC Week 2020 will be held from 8-15 November under the theme Always Was Always Will Be. The revised November dates for NAIDOC Week 2020 follow its postponement from the original July dates due to the impacts and uncertainty from the escalating Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
NAIDOC Posters have been celebrating and promoting NAIDOC Week since the late 1960s and rose to national prominence in the 1970s with the establishment of the Indigenous rights movement.
This year’s NAIDOC Poster features the stunning artwork titled Shape of Land by Noongar and Saibai Islander artist Tyrown Waigana.

NAIDOC Education Resources Available Now!
The National NAIDOC Committee has released new resources to support teachers and local communities build knowledge and celebrate Australia’s Indigenous culture.
The resources have been developed by Dr Lynette Riley, Wiradjuri & Gamilaroi woman, NAIDOC Committee member and Senior Lecturer in the Sydney School of Education and Social Work at University of Sydney.
Dr Riley developed these resources with two purposes in mind, to enable all students to engage in reconciliation, respect and recognition of the world’s oldest continuous living cultures and to support young Indigenous children to build self-esteem through seeing their identity, culture and history reflected in the classroom.
Three new guides specific to the 2020 NAIDOC theme and poster have been added to the growing suite of NAIDOC teaching resources, including a colouring-in version of Tyrown Waigana’s winning artwork, Shape of Land.
