Waterwatch and River Detectives are proud to announce our partnership with Odonata to help save the platypus from extinction, through their initiative launching this week, The Great Australian Platypus Search (GAPS).
GAPS is one of the largest citizen science projects in the world and by using the ground-breaking technology of Environmental DNA (eDNA), everyday citizens can now collect eDNA samples themselves and help scientists map platypus populations across Australia.
What an awesome way to value add to the River Detectives program with your students.
