Meeting the needs of our River Detectives schools, teachers and students is our main priority, so recently we asked you to share your thoughts about the need for an online summit this year.
The last thing we wanted to do was pour our time into an event you don’t need if there are better ways we can support you.
Thanks to the few that filled out our survey – we really appreciate it – but the fact that only 4 out of 100 schools responded tells us all we need to know. You might have the inclination to take part in an online summit but you just don’t have the time – we understand.
We won’t be holding a summit this year. Please remember that your regional coordinator is your go-to support person for support so reach out to them anytime and we will continue to provide opportunities to;
- Learn: PD sessions, incursions, Ask The Expert webinars
- Share: Billabong Banter posts, mid year and annual reports, facebook posts, stories of change ** please share what you’re up to with your regional coordinator – we love to see how you’re getting involved in the program and it helps us tell the River Detectives story
- Collaborate: Speak with your regional coordinator about how you can communicate with other RD schools, Landcarers, Waterwatch volunteers and the broader community
- Offer feedback: incursion evaluations, end of year evaluation, open door policy (contact us any time – your regional coordinator or Nicole, the statewide coordinator, at riverdetectives@nccma.vic.gov.au)
