Are you a River Detectives teacher interested in learning more about waterbugs from a freshwater ecologist who has spent his professional life working with waterbugs as a researcher, author, consultant and teacher?
John Gooderham from Waterbug Blitz
https://www.waterbugblitz.org.au/ is coming to Wangaratta on Saturday October 21st to provide a
free training session for people interested in learning how to use macroinvertebrates (water bugs) to monitor water quality and waterway health.
The session will run for around 3 hours and will cover how to sample waterbugs and use the Waterbug app (free download) and other resources to identify them.
Schools will also have an opportunity to learn more about delivering a waterbug session to their students through a waterbug Professional Development session held by Anna Hall (North East CMA River Detectives Coordinator). Keep an eye on your inbox for more details about this session or reach out to Anna directly if this is something you interested in attending, or even hosting at your school!
