As part of the Timboon Agriculture Project (TAP) we are a RD school but we also encourage students and teachers right through our P-12 school to tap into, excuse the pun, our local waterways whenever relevant. A local community group contacted the TAP about students recording “Curdies Stories” about peoples’ recollections of the Curdies Catchment area. Subsequently our Year 9 Humanities students undertook a field trip to the Curdies estuary 11/5/23 and then interviewed community members to record their stories 15/5/23 and 24/5/23. Our Year 1/2 students are investigating Water and to learn about assessing waterways they visited Power Creek to determine if that waterway was healthy or not 25/5/23.
